Loss of Internet Connection
If you are using our Email Server module, and you suffer a loss of Internet connectivity, then new emails will not be able to reach the server. Remote workers will also not be able to access the server, and if you have workers off-site, they will not be able to work remotely.
If we have been allowed (by you) to configure your email settings to use our backup email servers, we can see what emails are waiting for you in the queue, and have a rudimentary way of viewing those emails.
If the email server is unavailable for a longer period, and you are using our backup servers, we can redirect the email to an alternative server, which you would then access via webmail. This takes about 1hr to set up, and all email would initially be configured to be delivered into a single mailbox. After this point, we can start to set up individual mailboxes if required. When your email server becomes available once more, we would remove the redirect, and emails on the alternative server would have to be copied to the main server manually. Removing the redirect would take about 15min, copying the emails would depend on the number of emails received by the alternative server.
Should the problem take longer to resolve, then you may wish to consider moving the server to an alternative location.
