When you print a document to the Virtual PDF printer, it will convert it to a PDF and save the document in your own file area on the server '''(\\<SERVER>\<USERNAME>)''', in a subfolder called PDF. The name of the file will depend on the application that printed it, but if you have more than one document in the folder, the easiest way of finding the document is simply to sort by date and look for the newest one.

All Forget About IT™ file & print servers come with a virtual PDF printer. This can be used from both Windows™ and Mac™ based workstations.

Installation

To install the printer on any Windows-based workstation, all you have to do is to browse to the top level of the server and double-click on the PDF printer. This will automatically install the drivers and add the printer to your workstation. If you cannot browse to the server, you can also install it by clicking on START > RUN and entering \\<SERVER>\PDF where <SERVER> is the name of your Forget About IT™ server.

How to use

When you print a document to the Virtual PDF printer, it will convert it to a PDF and save the document in your own file area on the server (\\<SERVER>\<USERNAME>), in a subfolder called PDF, where <USERNAME> is the name you use to log in to the workstation. The name of the file will depend on the application that printed it, but if you have more than one document in the folder, the easiest way of finding the document is simply to sort by date and look for the newest one.
