In the event of a temporary outage that affected your ability to access your Forget About IT® server (for example a power cut), we can access copies of your files on the backup servers. Obviously what we then do with the data will depend on the circumstances, but the file could be emailed, printed out and faxed, posted on an FTP site, or even read to you over the phone. |

All our servers are backed up every night to two separate backup servers. These servers are located off-site in a server farm. Each one of these servers keeps a history of backups that mimics a tape rotation system. We therefore keep daily backups for a week, the weekly backups for a month and the monthly backups for a year.
Should you accidentally delete or over-write a file or email, we can recover them back to any one of those points. It is worth remembering, however, that if a file or email was created and deleted in the same day, it is unlikely to have been backed up.
