CalDAV is a calendaring protocol which is slowly becoming the new open standard. Technically, it is an extension to WebDAV (which stands for Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning), which is a protocol which allows remote applications to save data to a website.
CalDAV is already well supported by many non-Microsoft applications, including Apple's iCal and Mozilla Sunbird. Both Google Calendar and Yahoo Calendar support CalDAV client software (albeit in beta at the point of writing).
We have also found a plug-in for Outlook called iCal4OL that synchronizes Outlook's calendar with a CalDAV calendar.
Our Forget About IT® servers can have a CalDAV service installed on request at no extra charge.
